Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Review, specs and features



Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first PlayStation certified smartphone. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play brings together the best of the Android OS and the PlayStation Portable (PSP) on a smartphone.
Xperia Play runs on Gingerbread (version 2.3). It promises super-fast performance with a 1GHz processor combined with an Adreno GPU graphics processor. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play also features a 4.0-inch touchscreen, a 5.1 megapixel camera with HD capability, GPS navigation with Google Maps, built-in Sony PSP gaming controls, GSM/GPRS/EDGE or CDMA variants,  high speed HSDPA internet with HSDPA+ or EVDO Rev.A, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, etc.

 It combines a powerful smartphone and a PlayStation Portable in one device. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play looks just like a smartphone in portrait view but slide-out the controls and you have for yourself a great mobile gaming device. The gaming controls are very similar to the controls on Sony PSP. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play also features similar graphics quality as the PSP and supports support 3D gaming, thanks to the combination of a 1GHz processor and a GPU graphics processor.
