Samsung is putting an increased focus on the gaming side of its new Galaxy S4 smartphone with an accessory called Game Pad.
The device -- which looks remarkably similar to an Xbox 360 controller -- docks the S4 and connects to the device via Bluetooth. While docked, gamers can use twin analogue joysticks as well as a D-pad and four action buttons while gaming.
It also includes shoulder buttons and supports various screen sizes, from four inches, through five inches for the Galaxy S4, up to 6.3 inches. The device is expected to be available when the Galaxy S4 goes on sale in the UK in April.
The S4 features a five-inch Super Amoled display running at 1,920x1,080 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 441 pixels-per-inch (PPI). This is significantly sharper than the 326 PPI featured on the iPhone 5, but just under the HTC One's 468 PPI, resulting from the difference in screen size.
Inside the S4, which is slightly thinner and lighter than the S3, is 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, 4G LTE supported up to 100Mbps down and 50Mbps up (EE has confirmed it will support the S4's 4G in the UK), and one of two different processors: for Europe, it's an octal-core (that's eight processing cores) 1.6GHz CPU; elsewhere in the world it features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU running at 1.9GHz.
