BLACKBERRY MESSENGER; Finally coming to Android and iOS this weekend.

The long awaited Blackberry messenger (BBM) will be released this weekend as confirmed by Blackberry. After waiting for so long, Blackberry has given Android and iOS users something to smile about.
Android users can begin to download from play store, chat and PING! with the new app as from tomorrow, Saturday. iOS users can also start downloading from the iTunes store.

As earlier mentioned, the new BBM app will only be available on Android phones running on Ice Cream Sandwich and higher while the iOS version will run on OS 6 upwards.
As with BlackBerry phones, BBM for Android and iOS will require a unique PIN that you can share with friends to add them to your network. It features chat, file sharing (photos and voice notes), and group chats where you can invite up to 30 people. Much like a social network, you can set a profile picture, personal message, status message and send out a broadcast message to all your contacts.
Currently, BBM video calling and BBM voice calling are not supported for Android and iOS, but are planned to be integrated in future updates.
Lastly, Blackberry also announced their latest smartphone; Blackberry Z30
